Why founders stick around
“I stopped touching the page in March. By May it was bigger than it had been after a year of me running it myself. The captions actually sound like me.”

Things people ask first
Full guide · 5 min read
How our service works, what's included, what to expect, and answers to the questions founders ask before signing up.
IGmanager is a UK-based Instagram management agency that runs business and creator accounts end-to-end. We sit somewhere between a freelance social media manager and a full content production studio — for less than the cost of either. Every package gives you a dedicated Instagram account manager backed by our in-house AI content engine, so consistency never relies on one person having a good day.
We work with small UK service businesses (coaches, gyms, restaurants, salons, trades), e-commerce brands under £1m revenue, founders who shoot a lot of content but never get round to posting it, and agencies that want to white-label our content engine. If you've ever caught yourself thinking "I know I need to post more on Instagram, but I just don't have time", the gap between knowing and doing is exactly what we fill.
Our service is built around the reality of UK working hours, UK audiences and UK GDPR rules. We post at the times your audience is actually on their phone. We respect your time and your customers' data. There are no contracts and no setup fees — you can cancel from your dashboard in two clicks, and we'll hand you a folder with every asset we made.
Every IGmanager subscription includes the same foundations: a dedicated Instagram manager, a 30-day content calendar, daily posting at strategically chosen times, captions written in your brand voice, and recycling of evergreen content so your best posts keep working long after they first went live. The differences between our three packages are about how much of the creative work you want to keep doing yourself versus how much you want us to take off your plate.
The £40 Content Polisher is for founders and creators who already shoot content. You send us raw clips, photos and rough ideas through your client dashboard. We edit, caption, schedule and post — and we feed the highest-performing posts back into the recycling engine so they keep showing up months later. This is the right tier if you can reliably produce a few clips a week but never seem to get them edited or out the door.
The £65 AI Content Engine adds an in-house AI image and short-form video generator on top of the Polisher service. Whenever you don't have content to send us, the engine creates fresh on-brand imagery and 5-second reels matched to your content pillars. This means your account never goes quiet — even on weeks where you have nothing to film. The engine learns your brand voice over time, so the AI content gets sharper the longer you use it.
The £120 Full-Service Agency is everything in the other two tiers plus a dedicated human account manager doing daily strategy work, real-time trend monitoring and direct DM and comment handling. This is the tier for founders who genuinely want to forget about Instagram and trust the team to grow it for them. It's also the tier most often picked by agencies who want to white-label our service for their own clients.
Instagram's algorithm rewards consistency more than anything else. A small account that posts well-targeted content four times a week will out-grow a bigger account that posts brilliantly but only twice a month. Most founders we speak to know what to post — they just can't make themselves do it consistently while running their actual business. That's the gap a dedicated Instagram account manager closes.
Hiring an in-house social media manager for a small UK business typically costs £28,000–£38,000 a year once you factor in employer's NI and pension. Hiring a freelance Instagram manager tends to come in at £500–£1,500 per month and still depends on one person being available, motivated and not on holiday. IGmanager exists as a third option for businesses that want the consistency of a salaried hire without the cost or the key-person risk.
Because we run accounts across many niches at once — bakeries, personal trainers, photographers, cafés, boutiques — we see patterns sooner than any single freelancer would. A hook that suddenly starts performing across our skincare clients in March is available to your account in April without you having to read a single newsletter. The AI engine reinforces this: every client feeds anonymised performance data back into the model, which learns what hooks, caption styles and posting times convert best.
The process is built so you can set it up in an afternoon and forget about it. Once you pick a package and pay, we drop you into a five-question onboarding form: niche, audience, brand voice, 90- day goals and a do-not-post list. The AI uses your answers to draft a 30-day content strategy and a posting calendar mapped to your audience's active hours. Your account manager reviews it the same day.
Within 24 hours, your account manager emails you to get your Instagram connected. For now, we handle Instagram access manually while we complete our Meta partner approval — once approved, you'll be able to connect with one click straight from your dashboard. Either way, you keep ownership of your Instagram account at all times, and our access can be revoked from Meta's Business Settings the moment you want it gone.
From day three onwards, you'll see your calendar fill up. Each post card shows the scheduled time, the format, the pillar it belongs to, the caption we've written, and the media we're going to publish. You can veto any post in one click — the slot then fills automatically the next day with a fresh piece of content. You don't have to veto anything, but the option is always there.
Every fortnight, your manager runs a review of what's performing, what isn't, and what we're going to test in the next two weeks. You'll see the recap in your dashboard. The whole point of the service is that you can read that recap in two minutes, give a quick reaction, and get back to running your business.
All three IGmanager packages are billed monthly in GBP via Stripe, with no contracts. You can cancel from your dashboard any time and your next billing date will be the last one we charge. There are no setup fees and no minimum terms. Prices are the same whether you're a sole trader, a limited company or a personal account — we don't charge enterprise rates for businesses that don't need them.
The £40 Content Polisher tier suits accounts that are content-rich but execution-light. The £65 AI Content Engine adds roughly £15 of AI generation cost on top of the Polisher service and is most popular with brands that want a steady drip of fresh creative without filming. The £120 Full-Service Agency tier is for accounts where the founder genuinely wants to step back — it's roughly the equivalent of a quarter of a full-time hire's salary for arguably better consistency.
All tiers include British English captions, UK time-zone scheduling, and a UK-based account manager. If you ever need to upgrade, downgrade or pause your subscription, you can do it from the same dashboard with no friction. Most clients start on the Polisher tier and move up as they see results.
See the full breakdown of what's included on the pricing page.
Across active IGmanager accounts in the last 90 days we've published more than 12,800 reels, with an average reach lift of 47% versus the client's previous best month. 71% of posts beat their owner's prior personal-best engagement, and 93% of clients renew into a second month. Numbers vary widely by niche — a small local café won't see the same absolute growth as a national fitness brand — but the proportional improvement holds across niches.
Some specific examples from the dashboard over the last quarter: a UK skincare brand grew from 1,800 to 5,400 followers in eight weeks on our AI Content Engine tier. A Galway café picked up an extra 89 followers a month on the Content Polisher tier — small in absolute terms, but every one of those followers was a regular customer found through the platform. A bespoke carpentry studio on the Full-Service tier averaged 3.4× more DM enquiries from prospective clients within six weeks.
Results are audited monthly and surfaced in your dashboard the moment we connect to your Instagram account. None of the metrics we quote are estimated or modelled — they come from Meta's own Insights API and we publish them honestly, including the months where they're flat.
